Before there was a marketing career, there was a rainforest.

I spent nearly two years in Borneo as a jungle guide, leading people through one of the world's most biodiverse ecosystems and living at conservation centers alongside botanists, field biologists, and entomologists. I wasn't a scientist. But I learned to see wild places the way scientists do — as systems worth understanding, protecting, and communicating about.

That experience changed how I think about everything.

It led me to Taiwan, where I co-founded Taiwan Adventure Outings in 2016 — the island's first sustainable adventure travel company. We built it from nothing: no budget, no template, no roadmap. I handled the brand, the photography, the content, the community, and most of the guiding. My co-founder Dustin Craft led the trips.

What grew out of that Facebook group became a community of 10,000+ people who showed up because the experiences were genuine and the content was worth following. TAO was featured by CNN. We partnered with indigenous Taiwanese communities to platform their land and heritage. We organized beach and forest cleanups before that was something outdoor brands did.

For seven years alongside TAO, I organized Taiwan National Clean Up Day. Over 7 years with an average of 20 events each year. More than 10,000 volunteers. 45+ tons of waste removed from Taiwan's mountains, trails, and coastlines. I secured sponsorships for each event and the overall program — including brands like Roxy, Quiksilver, and a network of local businesses, hiking groups, and organizations across Taiwan.

In 2022 I joined XTERRA as Global Digital Marketing Manager — the world's leading off-road triathlon and trail run organization. For nearly four years I owned social media strategy across 10+ international channels, ran campaigns for 12 annual world championships across six continents, and built a content system that grew a 280,000+ global community through storytelling rather than spend.

I managed the global brand identity while coordinating with regional teams across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. I launched two new global properties from zero. I wrote every caption, every newsletter, every campaign brief. Email open rates held above 50% for four years running against an industry average of 21%.

All photography on this site is my own unless noted otherwise. I've been shooting alongside every other thing I've done, wildlife in Borneo, landscapes in Taiwan's high mountains, race day at world championships. Clients have included Google Taiwan and the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, amongst others.

I'm a US citizen, originally from San Francisco, currently based in Taiwan and relocating to California with my family. I'm looking for remote roles at outdoor, adventure, active lifestyle, or mission-driven brands where the product is something worth genuinely caring about.
